We send you Warm Greetings from the Mexican border!
Thank you so much for your love and interest in our music ministry. At this time, we can only say, “PRAISE GOD!” for His mercy and grace on both you and on us as we work together to put into practice Ps. 96:1-3 and Matt. 28:18-20 here in Latin America. We just received an email from a lady Arleen discipled a number of years ago; she stated that as a believer she is now thrilled to be able to trust her Lord during difficult times. This was especially true during a recent delicate operation when she went under anesthesia singing a Scriptural song written by Phil and in so doing was a witness to the medical team right there on the operating table. She went on to say that when she came to, she kept singing in the recovery room!
We are working hard on our courses here and the extra classes we have for wind instruments, but a few days ago I was asked to play a trumpet solo with the music of the soprano solo from the Messiah, “I know that my Redeemer Liveth” (Job 19:25-27). Then I was also asked to form a choir for the last concert of the winter season for a Bible Conference center near the Rio Grande Bible Institute. We’ll be doing the “Hallelujah Chorus” (Rev. 11:15 and 19:6), and trust that the Lord will bless our efforts in praising His great name.
Then, just today yet another person asked me to play the trumpet (Arleen will also be at her cello) but I’ll not seen by anyone. I am to accompany the chorus of “The King is Coming!” (I Thess. 4:17) from the sound booth, high
above the auditorium in the rear to magnify and amplify the theme of Christ’s imminent coming.
We’re excited about these small details in what God has planned for us as His bride, the Church of Jesus Christ. We are so grateful for your love and interest in our ministry of sharing the Lord with many Latin Americans and in training Hispanics to serve our Blessed Savior.
God bless you all. We love you!
